Each year, ATD Baton Rouge membership elects members to lead the organization. All chapter leaders are volunteers that help the organization to provide programs and services to its members. Click on a link to see information about current chapter leaders.
As the Associate Director of Training & Development in in the Office of Human Resource Management at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Chynsia has established effective programs that focus on developing staff, faculty, and student employees in an effort to enhance the professional skills of each participant and align with the organization’s strategic goals. She embraces her charge of assessing organizational needs, developing and facilitating management and leadership training, and providing organizational and performance solutions for the university's employees.
Prior to joining the University in 2013 as the Training Coordinator for the Office of Human Resource Management, Chynsia started her career as an Associate Consultant with SSA Consultants, a management consulting firm in Baton Rouge. As a consulting associate, she directly contributed to the planning and execution of SSA's long-term business strategy, serving as a liaison between consultants and clients, while managing a high concentration of work in the public sector. She is particularly adept in the development of strategic plans, internal and external consulting, performance management, and research and data analysis reports.
Chynsia earned a Master of Science in Human Resource Education with a concentration in Leadership Development from the School of Human Resource Education and Workforce Development at Louisiana State University. In addition, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology also from LSU, where she volunteered for several student organizations including The Phone: Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center and Volunteer LSU.
When she’s away from the office and the boardroom, you can find Chynsia volunteering with the Junior League of Baton Rouge, gathering with the women of Books & Belles, the monthly book club she established to connect friends from all walks of life, and working on her calligraphy skills.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, she volunteers with Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women as a member of the Leadership & Nominating Committee, assisting with the recruitment, appointment, and onboarding of Fraternity volunteers. She holds a PhD in Human Resource Education from LSU, a MA in Education (Higher Education/Student Affairs) from the University of Connecticut, and a BA in Music from the University of Connecticut.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 year old son, running, and playing with her 3 rescue dogs.
Susana Reyes Lee is a Training and Organizational Development Specialist at Essential Federal Credit Union. In this role, Susana is tasked with developing and implementing engaging content for a wide variety of internal and employee communications that encourage and reinforce the organizational servant leader culture. Susana has been extremely instrumental in the onboarding process of all new hires including new hire orientation and Essential service culture sessions. Susana serves as the lead administrator for the learning management system and the intranet. In 2016, Susana partnered with LSU Continuing Education to submit and successfully execute a grant through the Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP).
Susana is passionate about research and sharing information with others. She displays her creative strengths when she brings teams together to collaborate in all sorts of project settings. Susana is one of the few Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) holders in the state of Louisiana. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Master of Science in Human Resource Education, and a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in Leadership and Human Resource Development.
Susana enjoys providing service and giving back to the community. She is extremely passionate about programs that encourage and provide students with early college and career planning. Susana also enjoys managing busy schedules for her three children and photography-skilled husband.
Patrice is a Senior Learning Specialist at Neighbors Federal Credit Union. She is an alumna of the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in English.
Patrice began her career at NFCU as a teller in 2008 shortly after college and now has over 10 years experience in the credit union industry. Becoming a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor along the way, she is also a member of the Louisiana Credit Union League’s Young Professionals Network.
Patrice prides herself on contributing to the success of NFCU’s expansive legacy of providing premier banking services to the Greater Baton Rouge area for more than 60 years. There she facilitates products, ethics and compliance courses as well as member service training. In addition, she designs e-learning courses for the credit union and assists her department with maintaining the learning management system and serving the staff in any way possible.
In 2017, she earned the Associate Professional in Talent Development certification as a member of the ATD Certification Institute’s pilot group of APTDs, becoming one of the first learning professionals industry-wide to receive the honor.
Patrice has a passion for writing, and her other hobbies include traveling and listening to music. She enjoys horror and mystery genres of movies, television series and books. She loves a good “who done it.” Her interests include art, museums, documentaries and expanding her knowledge and skill-set within the talent development industry.
Jenelle Roblin is currently the Training & Development Manager at Campus Federal Credit Union. Her primary role is to manage the resources engaged in the design, development and delivery of the training and development programs for Campus Federal Credit Union. Her area of expertise is operations, compliance, management and leadership training. She manages a remarkable team that allows the department to provide training to meet organizational goals. She is a member of a Service Team that participates in community service activities at OLOL and LSU. She also oversees the Young Professional Network and Mentor Program.
Jenelle has over 24 years in banking and 15 years in a training role. Her interests include reading, traveling and hosting gatherings for friends and families. She enjoys watching her daughter in theater productions and spending time with her husband, friends and family.
Prior to rejoining the FMOL Health System in 2017, she served as the Talent Development Specialist for Community Coffee Company. Renada has over 10 years experience in Human Resources in areas that include Recruiting, Employee Relations and Employee Benefits. She is particularly adept in performance management, coaching, facilitation, instructional design, and research and data analysis.
Renada earned a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Southern University Baton Rouge. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
Liesel is a Learning and Development Facilitator in the Office of Human Resource Management at LSU. She began her career in Human Resources at LSU in 2007. As of 2014, Liesel has been in her role as a trainer delivering participant-centered training in classroom setting to the faculty and staff in the LSU System to develop and improve their professional and managerial skills. Liesel's method of instruction is energetic and engaging, increasing participants transfer of learning in the workplace. Her primary goal is to provide a broad spectrum of training options through consulting and assessment services to ensure continuous individual and organizational performance improvement. Her work has also included delivering training on a variety of supervisory and managerial topics to governmental civil service employees throughout the State of Louisiana through the Comprehensive Public Training Program (CPTP).
Liesel earned a Master's of Science in Human Resources & Leadership Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology both from LSU. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, learning about financial wellness, helping friends with their budgets, reading, and playing co-ed soccer.
Vickie is the Patient Access Manger at the LSU Student Health Center. Vickie began her career with LSU in 2013. She is an alumna of the College of Human Sciences and Education with a concentration in Human Resource Education and Leadership Development. Prior to joining LSU, Vickie had fourteen years’ experience with Iron Mountain, Inc. and served in various roles in information management. During that time, she was an active member of the Baton Rouge/Lafayette ARMA Chapter and participated in the Louisiana Health Information Management Association Annual Conference.
Vickie has been a Tiger Success Network Mentor for three years focusing on the retention of first year students. Vickie exhibits a “Can Do” attitude supporting LSU’s tactical and strategic initiatives. Vickie is also an active member at Healing Place Church. Vickie has a passion for continuous learning, leadership and development that not only shows in her work life but her personal life as well.
In her spare time, Vickie enjoys spending time with her children, granddaughter, friends and family. She loves cooking and spending time outdoors especially in her vegetable garden.
Attitude of Gratitude. She relishes spending time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys attending church and traveling.
Martina Malone is a Curriculum Development Specialist for the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training at LSU. Her primary responsibilities consist of collaborating with subject matter experts to design and revise training courses, ensuring that content meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and traveling to cities across the United States for development meetings, walkthroughs, and pilots.
She is an alumna of McNeese State University where she double majored in Marketing and Management, and minored in Mass Communication with a Public Relations concentration. She also earned her MBA with a concentration in Human Resources from Southern University and A&M College. Martina has over six years of HR experience, with four years’ specialization in Learning and Development.
Martina currently serves as the Co-Chair of Forum 35’s Cultural diversity committee, an organization that develops young leaders by undertaking projects within the Baton Rouge community.
In her free time, Martina enjoys traveling, attending concerts, reading, and trying new hobbies such as archery and tap dancing!
