In this session, we will explore and discuss various types of mentoring relationships. You will learn the benefits of mentoring and elements to incorporate into the program. We will learn ways to create buy-in for implementing a mentoring program and discuss a case study on mentoring in the public sector.

Program Objectives
At the end of the presentation, you will understand how mentoring can benefit your employees and will have a framework for how to incorporate a mentoring program at your organization.

Regina Leingang, Ph.D.   
Louisiana Legislative Auditor 

Regina Leingang is a Program Specialist in the Human Resources/Professional Development section at the Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s (LLA) Office. Regina completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Sociology in 2005. She also earned her Master of Public Administration degree in 2009 and her Ph.D. in Human Resource Education Leadership Development with minors in Public Administration and Disaster Science and Management in 2013. Before joining LLA, Regina worked at LSU with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Law Enforcement Online/InfraGard Support Center from 2005 to 2013. Regina was a participant in LSU’s LEAD-Emerge Program, a semester-long leadership immersion program for professionals, in 2010. In addition to this leadership experience, she has also presented at the Southeastern Leadership Conference, LSU’s Clover College experience, and has been a guest lecturer at LSU. She currently serves as President of LLA’s internal Public Funds Examiners Association. In addition to this duty, she is also Executive Secretary for the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and a Government Liaison with the American Red Cross. In her free time Regina enjoys spending time with her husband David and family and friends.

 Cancellation Policy
As soon as you complete the registration process, you will be guaranteed a seat at this event. The completed registration process initiates an invoice from your ASTD Baton Rouge Chapter to you that may be paid online, by mail, or on the day of the event.

Your ASTD Baton Rouge Chapter may have to pay for your meal and other fees if you register and then cannot attend.  To help us protect your chapter’s finances, please submit cancellations at least 48 hours before the event.  Otherwise, we will have to invoice you to cover these costs.  If that should happen, we will be happy to receive your registration for future events as soon as you have settled your outstanding balance.
