The disconnect that exists between the executive team and the training teams is very real. It is often the unfortunate scenario that when executive teams meet to cut expenses, training has already been removed or trimmed in the budgets. And yet, in the same meetings, the executives seek to increase productivity, streamline efficiency and increase employee morale. But as trainers we know this can only be really accomplished through effective training programs. But training teams and trainers are often not seen as a solution to these challenging corporate problems. They are viewed as a commodity not an investment. Thus their budgets get frequently cut. And the ones mostly impacted are the staff and middle managers who need the training. This presentation seeks to address this challenge and consider some strategies on how to improve the collaboration between the 2 teams. This will be REAL: Relevant, Engaging, Applicable and Long-lasting.
Program Objectives
  • Understanding how executive teams view their business and how they view the training world

  • Influencing the perception that training has internally

  • Learning how to talk with and present ideas to executives

  • Understanding the unaligned decision-model that training departments and executives have

  • ROI what? Competencies what? What?
