Ever felt like your training didn't seem to make a difference?  Does it seem more like an event rather than a process that impacts or improves performance? Kick the year off right by looking at workplace learning and performance from a whole new perspective: the "system of performance" perspective.  This session will challenge you to think differently about the purpose of training and explore strategies for achieving such purpose.  We will look at why training doesn't work and what we can do to make it and other performance interventions work.  We will share tips, tools, templates, and best practices for application and value-added results you can create.
Program Objectives
  • Explore why training alone doesn't work
  • Become aware of the components that contribute to performance
  • Identify strategies to optimize training and improve performance
  • Change your perspective of the purpose of training
  • Try tools to partner with management to get the results they expect
  • Share tips, best practices, and practitioners' perspectives of training that works
