Organizational success in the 21st century depends upon a firm’s ability to compete within the knowledge, information, and innovation-based economies. With mass production and outsourcing ubiquitous throughout the business environment, finding a source of competitive advantage requires employees within firms to develop creative solutions for product development, customer management, and workflow processes within the organization. Therefore, creativity is vital in organizations today. However, despite the pressures upon firms today, the ability to identify creative individuals remains a pervasive problem. This problem is further exaggerated with the implementation of IT, which seeks to standardize workflow and organizational processes. In this talk, I will discuss how leveraging the creative potential of your employees in their utilization of IT will lead to an advantage to your firm and lead to greater levels of innovation for you.

Objective: This program will enable you to identify the characteristics of creative individuals with respect to IT and learn how creativity influences how your employees use the IT within your firm.
