Books and Literature SIG

The Books and Literature SIG is an open forum for members to share and discuss literature and research on a range of topics.  Participants can recommend books, articles, and web sites for discussion and review in the group.  Contact to make recommendations or sign up for the distribution list.

This SIG also participates in #Lrnchat and #LrnBK discussions on Twitter.

Lrnchat Chat

lrnchat is a place for people interested in the topic of learning who use the social messaging service Twitter to learn from one another and discuss how to help other people learn.  What can you expect? Fast-paced conversation, 140 characters or less at a time. Every 15 minutes or so a moderator will throw into the mix a new question. You’re not required to answer the question, but it’s a terrific way to get a variety of perspectives to keep the conversation moving.

The online chat happens every Thursday night 8:30-9:30pm EST / 5:30-6:30pm PST.  ATDBR will send out a reminder tweet the day of the online chat.

The “#” sign, known as a hashtag enables you to search for #lrnchat and participate during the discussion held once a week on Thursday nights. You can also use live-chat services such as TweetChat and TweetGrid or even seek out #lrnchat in Twitter search.  If this all feels a little overwhelming at first, consider lurking for a few minutes before jumping in.  For additional information visit:

LrnBK Chat

Lrnbk is an occasionally-happening Twitter-based book club chat for workplace learning & development practitioners. This is an asynchronous chat running for a select number of weeks. New questions post on Tuesdays and Fridays. Follow the @lrnbk Twitter account and remember to include the #lrnbk tag.

ATDBR will send out a announcement when a new book is posted for review and discussion.   For additional information visit:
